Privacy Policy

This policy explains what happens to your data when you browse this site, submit an enquiry, arrange a booking or make a payment. The website form starts an enquiry: it does not create an account, automatically reserve a seat or charge you.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller’s legal name is Servicios de turismo Eleodoro Antonio Carrasco Garcés E.I.R.L, Chilean tax ID (RUT) 76465965-1, trading as Turismo Paisaje Austral.

The data controller is Turismo Paisaje Austral, a tour operator and travel agency based at Monseñor José Fagnano 655, Punta Arenas, Magallanes and Chilean Antarctica Region, Chile, registered with SERNATUR under number 14401.

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email contacto@turismopaisajeaustral.cl, call +56 61 222 1261 or contact us on WhatsApp at +56 9 7879 1803.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you contact us, we may process:

  • your name, email address and telephone or WhatsApp number;
  • the tour, preferred date, passenger count, departure city and message you submit;
  • information needed to issue a booking, receipt or tax document;
  • information required to arrange travel for children, accessibility, food or safety needs, when you choose to provide it;
  • transaction data such as the order identifier, amount, status and authorisation code when Webpay payment is enabled;
  • basic security information such as source page, language, date, time, IP address and anti-spam result when Cloudflare Turnstile is used.

We do not ask for a full card number or security code. If you need to tell us sensitive information, provide only what is necessary to arrange the service safely.

3. How we use the data

We use the data to:

  • answer enquiries and check the date, seats, time and operator;
  • prepare, confirm, change or cancel a booking;
  • send instructions, payment links, receipts and operational notices;
  • arrange pickups, transfers, border requirements or needs reported by the traveller;
  • manage payments, refunds, complaints and post-trip support;
  • prevent abuse, fraud and automated submissions;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting and consumer-protection duties.

We do not sell personal data or use it to build advertising profiles. If we add promotional messages in future, they will have an authorisation and opt-out separate from messages needed to answer an enquiry or fulfil a booking.

4. Why we may process the data

We process the data you provide with your authorisation and to carry out the steps you request. Once a booking is confirmed, we also process it to deliver the contracted service and meet legal obligations. For security, we may process the minimum information needed to protect the site, bookings and users.

This policy takes account of Chilean Law No. 19,628 and, from 1 December 2026, the amendments introduced by Law No. 21,719.

5. Who we may share data with

We share only what is necessary for the stated purpose with:

  • tour or maritime operators identified on the tour page and booking confirmation, when they need to check availability or provide part of the service;
  • Transbank/Webpay, when a traveller uses that payment method;
  • Resend, to deliver messages from the enquiry form and related replies;
  • Cloudflare, for hosting, enquiry and booking storage, restricted staff access and Turnstile anti-spam protection when enabled;
  • authorities, courts or public bodies only where a valid legal obligation requires it.

If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or another external service, that platform also processes data under its own terms. Some technology providers may process data outside Chile; where this occurs, we seek to use established services and apply the safeguards required by applicable law.

6. Webpay payments

Depending on the tour, payment may be available directly or sent after availability is confirmed. Payment may use a Webpay.cl link or Webpay Plus when the integration is enabled. Card data is entered in Webpay’s secure environment. Turismo Paisaje Austral receives only the information needed to verify and reconcile the transaction; it does not receive or store the full card number or security code.

The party receiving the payment and the operator providing the tour are identified before you pay. See our Terms and Conditions for the complete booking process.

7. Cookies and technical technologies

At the time this policy was published, we did not use advertising cookies or behavioural profiling tools. Hosting and Cloudflare Turnstile may use information or technical storage strictly necessary for security, operation and fraud prevention.

If non-essential analytics or advertising are added later, we will update this policy and request any consent required before enabling them.

8. How long we keep data

We keep data only for as long as needed to answer the enquiry, manage the journey, handle possible complaints and comply with applicable legal or tax periods. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer needed. Booking and payment records may be retained for periods required by accounting, tax and consumer-protection rules.

9. Your rights

You may ask what data we process, access it, correct or update it, request deletion or blocking and object to uses that are not appropriate, subject to legal exceptions. Once Law No. 21,719 applies, you may also exercise the rights of erasure, objection and portability on the terms set out in that law.

To respond securely, we may ask for reasonable evidence of your identity. Exercising these rights is free. Email contacto@turismopaisajeaustral.cl with “Privacy” in the subject and describe your request.

10. Children

Enquiries and bookings must be made by an adult. When a booking includes children, we process only the information required for their fare, safety and participation, supplied by their parent or responsible guardian.

11. Security and policy changes

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to restrict access, protect communications and reduce loss, misuse or unauthorised disclosure. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy when the site, providers or law changes. The date at the top identifies the current version; a change does not retroactively alter the terms of an already confirmed booking.
