Questions to answer before you book
Some tours can be paid for directly. Others, including several sailings, require confirmation first: send your date and passenger count, we check availability, and then send the payment instructions. The form starts an enquiry; it does not charge you or reserve a place by itself.

Who operates the tours?
Turismo Paisaje Austral directly operates the main land tours with its vehicles and guides. For sailings, we manage the enquiry, seat, booking and, where applicable, transport; the boat is operated by the maritime company identified on the tour page.
What happens when weather cancels a departure?
When weather cancels a departure, rescheduling or a refund is offered according to the specific operator’s conditions. For sailings, the captain and Maritime Authority may make the final decision on the day. We recommend scheduling maritime tours early in your stay.
What if the passenger cancels?
Cancellation conditions depend on the tour and are provided in writing before payment. Contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel: the notice period can affect the refund. If illness or a cancelled flight affected your plans, explain what happened so we can review your case. See our booking terms.
Are park fees included?
Usually not on land tours. Torres del Paine and Milodón Cave and Pali Aike use Pases Parques. Fuerte Bulnes can be paid at the gate or through the Strait of Magellan Park site. Admission for the Magdalena Island tour is included. Each tour page shows its exceptions.
Are food and water included?
Our own tours do not include food or water unless expressly stated. Whale watching in Francisco Coloane Marine Park includes breakfast, lunch and coffee; the Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers sailing with Turismo 21 de Mayo includes lunch and an aperitif; the Plus Cabin on the Magdalena Island catamaran includes a snack.
Are there child fares?
Yes. Children up to three generally travel free, but tell us if a safety seat is needed. From three to twelve, the fare varies by trip. Include each child’s age so we can confirm the correct amount.
Do guides speak English?
When foreign travellers join, we assign Spanish–English bilingual guides. The Tierra del Fuego and King Penguin Park day trip and the Torres del Paine day trip normally run with 8 to 15 passengers, plus the driver and guide.
